Katelyn Kachinsky is going into her fourth season at Dance Unlimited teaching Acro to students of all ages. Katelyn is a senior at Boise State University studying Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science and pre-athletic training. Alongside her studies, she is also a part of the Boise State Spirit Squad Mane Line dance team. She is a fourth-year senior on the team and cannot love it more. After finishing up her undergraduate degree, Katelyn will be attending graduate school to obtain her Master’s in Athletic Training. Her goal is to be a certified athletic trainer working for a professional football, baseball, or ice hockey team. Her drive for working in the health care system carries over into her love for teaching the many students at Dance Unlimited.
Growing up, Katelyn was a competitive gymnast and loved tumbling and exploring new skills. At the age of 13 her gymnastics career ended, and she found her love for dance. Despite her change in sports careers, she has carried her expertise of acrobatics into dance. Since then, she has competed in all styles of dance including contemporary, jazz, modern, ballet, lyrical, and hip hop. Katelyn is devoted to working with dancers who want to learn more about technique in Acro and who are passionate about it. She enjoys inspiring others and is excited for this upcoming year. Her knowledge and appreciation for dance exceeds all and we love having her as a part of our staff.
