Maddie Hesse was born and raised in Moses Lake, Washington. She started studio dance at the age of three, and then danced at a competitive studio for a total of 15 years of her life, 4 of those years being not only a member, but also a captain for her high school dance team. With being on the drill team, Maddie has obtained several State and National Championship titles. She has been trained in the styles of: Jazz, Clogging, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Pom, Kick and Military. After graduating from Moses Lake High school, Maddie continued her dance career dancing for two years at Central Washington University. After finishing her BA from Central Washington University, she moved to North Dakota and took on the role of Head Coach for the North Dakota State University Dance Team for 1 year. Maddie then began teaching at DanceWorX Studio in Bismarck, where she has taught competitive dancers for the past 2 years. She have been teaching for the last 8 years and absolutely loves doing so! Maddie graduated with her Master’s degree in April, and since has relocated to the Boise area as a Speech Pathologist. She is very excited to begin her next dance journey with DU!!
