Melanie Grace began dancing at the age of 3 in Bismarck, North Dakota. She continued her dance training in clogging and jazz at Hidden Valley Dancers in Sandy, Utah, then trained in jazz, ballet, and lyrical at Artistic Dance Studios in Draper, Utah. She was a member of her high school dance company and cheer squads, and was named Head Cheerleader on the varsity squad her senior year.
She continued dancing at Brigham Young University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Education and a minor in Health. She was a member of the BYU Folk Dance Ensemble and performed in concerts and festivals while traveling throughout the United States, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, France, and Italy.
After graduating, she taught Dance, Aerobics, and Musical Theater for Alpine School District in Lehi, Utah. She enjoyed directing the school’s Dance Company along with choreographing their musical each year. She became an Adjunct Professor and mentor at BYU for a short time before moving to Boise, Idaho.
She is married and has 4 beautiful children who keep her very busy! She has a passion for dance and choreography and is so excited to share her love of dance with the students at Dance Unlimited!
