Lauren Lafrades

Lauren Lafrades began dancing at the age of 3 and has trained at Dance Unlimited since she was 5. She is trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, lyrical, acro, tap, musical theater, and hip hop, and spent 12 years competing—earning top regional placements and national recognition at National Dance Honors.

Lauren has been assistant teaching and leading classes since the age of 14, and she has developed a strong passion for choreography, creating award-winning routines for competitive teams. She traveled nationally as an assistant with Nexus Dance Competition and was awarded the Alexa Rose Foundation grant for her work in the arts.

After graduating from Boise High School in 2020, she earned her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Alabama in 2024 and her master’s in 2025. During college, she taught at MJ’s Dance Academy in Tuscaloosa, coaching competitive teams and teaching jazz teaching and ballet.

Now back in Boise, Lauren is excited to return to her home studio and to inspire the next generation of DU dancers.
