"Welcome to DUVille" Recital Recap

Our winter recital "Welcome to DUVille" was a huge success!  We so enjoyed watching all the dancers on stage!  They all showed off all the skills they have learned in just a short period of time and entertained happy crowds all day long.  With visitors like Santa and the Grinch...we had a fun filled day, that's for certain. We are so proud of each and every dancer this semester and look forward to next semester and seeing how much further they progress.

Our participation in the Boise Holiday Parade was a blast this year!  Our dancers and their families worked so hard to put together our amazingly creative and fun float!  The dancers performed with pride and had a wonderful time ringing in the holiday season by welcoming everyone to "DUVille"!  We were so proud to learn that the parade committee awarded us the award for "Most Entertaining"!  A huge thanks to ALL that helped make this event a success!

We're Thankful for Dance ...

...and we bet you are too. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we've been reflecting on all the reasons we are thankful for dance in our lives. Each day we receive the gift of working within our passions by coming to the studio, and helping to teach and mold the beautiful talents of our students! Here are a few of the reasons we are thankful for dance:

Tips to Make Practice Part of Your Routine

With performances and recitals just around the corner, it’s now even more important to make practice part of your weekly schedule. Besides that, practice makes younger dancers feel more accomplished and confident in class—and they enjoy their dance experience even more!

Simply put, practice time is necessary for improvement. In today’s world our schedules are so full it can feel like there’s barely time to juggle class schedules, let alone practice. But integrating dance practice into your week and creating good dancer habits just takes a bit of organization and commitment.

Tips for Keeping Germs Out of Your Dance Bag

We’re well into fall, which is a fun and cozy time of year—but also the time of year when dancers are more susceptible to catching the flu or a cold. This is an important time to be aware of the little things you can do to prevent germs and hopefully avoid illness.

Your trusty dance bag can be a germ playground at this time of year, especially if you don’t clean it out often enough! For busy dancers, bags end up being a catch-all and a carry-all for everything from dance clothes and shoes to snacks, warm-ups, homework and more!
