Katelyn White

Katelynn began dancing competitively at the age of three at Today’s Generation in Washington State. She enjoys various genres of dance such as:  jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballroom, ballet, hip-hop, cultural dance and clogging. Her high school Drill Team won three 5A state championship awards and national titles consecutively. 

Continuing her education, she graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors in Dance Education emphasis in Modern Dance. She performed with the Dance Ensemble and the Folk Dance Ensemble for several years. She was chosen to choreograph pieces for concerts and outreach programs with choreography as her Senior Project; she was awarded several honors for her choreographic skills. Katelynn furthered her study of dance in China; she learned Chinese cultural dance and ballet in collegiate programs and performed her choreography internationally.

Katelynn has taught dance technique, choreography and movement skills, professionally for many years. Rooting her career in Utah high school dance, coaching Dance Company, Ballroom Dance Team and teaching beginning to advanced dance/ballroom classes. Through her mentoring, Dance Company was awarded Superior in Utah State Adjudications and Ballroom Team had podium finishes in Division two at BYU National DanceSport every year under her direction. Excited to encourage new dance programs, she turned her sights to Utah’s Middle Schools, where she created and coached Dance Company and built an entire catalog of dance classes with core competencies and focused goals for various levels of talent. Katelynn has danced Pre-professionally with Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company while teaching to expand her performing opportunities. 

Katelynn is a mom of two and enjoys cooking, baking, and getting outdoors.
